I Don’t Know What to Talk About

I’ve said before, the hardest part of blogging is coming up with a title for the post. Really. I’m also terrible at headlines for any story I write, that’s just not where my creativity works.

Also equally as difficult for a blog post, figuring out what the hell to talk about.

If I’m given a topic, I could probably talk all day about it, at least if it’s a topic I actually know something about. However, usually when I sit down to write a blog post, I stare at it for a while before I just force myself to talk… write.

Usually I just end up talking about the outfit in the photos and sometimes I just start thinking “blah blah blah, they can see it! Why am I explaining it?!” Honestly, sometimes I just want to share an outfit but I have nothing  to go along with it. But I know when I read blogs, first it’s for the photos, that’s what draws me in, but I also want to read something with it. Even if it’s just a paragraph, a blurb.

Sure a picture is worth a thousand words but sometimes a thousand and fifty can tell you something more about someone. Help you connect to the person in the photos and behind the keyboard. And I’ve always had my blog so I could have a space to write about anything I wanted to and to better my writing. But I also want to connect.

I’m a shy person but I like to talk to people, learn more about them and their experiences, that’s probably just the nosy side of me though, right? Maybe that’s why I’m a journalism major, isn’t being a journalist just being nosy, looking for information. I’ll say curiosity instead of nosy because it sounds better!

Anyway, what I’m trying to say is, most posts I try to find something to talk about and sometimes my brain just feels empty and when that happens, I just ramble. Example, this post.

Endings. Endings are also my weak spot.

Hey look at that, 300 words of not knowing what to write about.
