Sneak a Peek: Blush/Face Products Drawer

3.jpg

This is probably my favorite drawer of all. The Blush/Bronzer/Face stuff drawer!

I absolutely love blush. Of all the products I use, blush is probably the one I rotate through the most as far as using different colors day to day.

Don’t get me wrong, bronzers are nice but they kind of all look the same for the most part and don’t catch my eye.

However there are a million and one blushes out there and I think I need them all. ❤

So this drawer hold all my blushes, concealers, eyeshadow primer, eyebrow pencils, and sometimes bronzers (if they fit, sometimes the blushes take over.)

That being said, I didn’t take a picture of the eyebrow pencil because that’s just not fun to look at but my favorite is the Nyx Micro Brow pencil in taupe.

We’ll start with my least favorite part of the drawer first to get it out of the way,

Concealers:

Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous: the lightest shade// Rimmel Match Perfection in 230 Fair/Light // Clinique airbrush concealer in 01 fair// it cosmetics Bye-Bye Undereye in light// e.l.f eyeshadow primer in sheer// Maybelline Age-Rewind concealer in brightener

I don’t have a favorite face concealer so I kind of just rotate between the Covergirl and Rimmel for spot concealing because I don’t think one is really better than the other for me. I’ve tried pretty much every drugstore concealer out there, the rimmel and covergirl would have to be the best ones I’ve tried.

Also I have to say the It cosmetics is marketed as an under eye concealer, however personally I think it’s way too thick for under the eye so I use it for spot concealing on occasion too.

The Maybelline Age-Rewind concealer is my favorite. I’ve repurchased a million of these, it’s the best under eye concealer. The Clinique one is also nice for under the eye, it’s much thinner than the Maybelline so it’s not as good as far as coverage goes, but they’re both really good for brightening.

The e.l.f eyelid primer is the best primer ever. I haven’t tried any high end eyeshadow primers but considering this is only three dollars and my eyeshadow never creases, there’s no need. This is definitely a must try if you haven’t already!

On to bronzers:

5

It Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Ombre Bronzer in Warm Radiance// Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Medium/Deep

When I decide to wear bronzer, these are the two I switch between the most. The It Cosmetics one is so glowy and because it’s an ombre bronzer you can use just the top for a highlighter, the bottom for a more matte deep bronze, or swirl a brush around for a super glowy bronze. (All of which I swatched below)

The Too Faced easily won me over because not only is it completely matte, it also smells like chocolate. 😉

Now my favorite, Blushes:

1

Milani Blushes (left to right): 01 Dolce Pink // 10 Delizioso Pink// 08 Tea Rose

4

Wet n Wild in Heather Silk // Boots No7 in Soft Damson

Lately my go to blush has been Milani Dolce Pink. It looks slightly terrifying because it looks like straight up glitter. Even in the swatch it looks a little daunting, however once you apply it with a brush on you cheeks, it’s the most perfect pink glow. Seriously, try it!

Milani blushes are my absolute favorite, and I probably reach for the three I have the most.  The Wet n Wild blush though, is the most pigmented blush of all time. Definitely have to use a light hand. I do reach for the Boots No. 7 blush quite a bit when I just want something subtle.

Part 3 to this series will be up next week, it’ll be all about the eyes 🙂

Hi there, I really enjoyed this post! I can never find Milani products, and I’ve tried just about every drugstore in my area. This is a sensitive spot for me since I always hear such great things about their products 😉 I also am not that attracted to bronzers, most of them look funny on my pale complexion and I am terrible at contouring, so I usually have no need for them. I only have a few individual blushes, but I hope to grow my collection. I’ll take these into consideration, thanks for the swatches and great photos! If you would like, you can check out my blog, if not, that’s alright too! Have a lovely day! https://telletheblog.wordpress.com/

I’ve seen them at Target but not recently. CVS usually always has them. I just checked and you can also find them on Target.com! Totally agree about the bronzers, I only use them occasionally and very lightly. Definitely a hit or miss for me. Thanks so much!

I’ve seen Milani products at Kroger, but is somewhat limited at the one near me. CVS definitely seems to have the newer items and just a wider selection overall.
